Scott loves Boromir, and we’ve been wanting this sword in our cosplay collection since we went to the St. Louis ComicCon and met Sean Bean.
Kaldi’s Coffee has been my favorite St. Louis-area coffee roaster since I moved here in 2009, back when I was first getting into coffee. But as my love for coffee has grown over the years, so has my appreciation for Kaldi’s and their mastery of the craft.
I’ve always wanted to visit the Kaldi’s Roastery and do a cupping and tour, which they do on Friday afternoons. Though they were put on hold for a couple of years due to the pandemic, I finally was able to attend one in February 2023. It was even more fantastic than I had imagined.
Seas and Greetings from the Midwest! We live in St. Louis, but it didn’t stop us from having a tropical, coastal Christmas. We installed a swim spa this year so it seemed like a fitting theme. Turquoise is my favorite color, and we decked the halls with many shades of blue and all our favorite sea creatures!
We had an amazing time hosting a watch party for House of the Dragon premiere. We hosted a Game of Throne premiere party for the final season of GoT and of course reused the Iron Throne I built for this. Of course I added a few new 3D printed dragon eggs, swords and crowns to our collection.
We had an amazing time hosting a watch party for The Rings of Power premiere. A few of the 3D printed props were the 20 Rings of Power (for a ring toss game), a Mt Doom smoldering with dry ice, a light up Gandalf staff, the tower of Orthanc, the Witch King of Angmar’s helmet, crown of Galadriel and Elrond, and the swords Narsil and Sting. The food included lembas bread, Ring of Power cake, Mtn Dewm cocktails, Misty Mountain mead, “They Come in Pints?” beer, and loaded potatoes consisting of “Taters Precious,” “Meat’s Back on the Menu, Boys,” “Weathertop Crispy Bacon,” and “Pippin’s Peppers.” Check out the pictures and videos.
